I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (and shared them first in this post!), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also broken them in well that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

Where could someone find a pair like yours?

I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were at my door by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast – definitely a bonus
How much do they run?
When I ordered my pair in April, I paid around $385, but their regular price is around $514.
You can expect to pay between $410 and $1,700 depending on their design features.
Do they fit as expected?
They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.

Are they comfortable?
They felt good almost immediately. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they reduce sweat. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in synthetic materials. Plus, they’re already broken-in so your feet just slide in.
Do they hold up well?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
These are the best sneakers I own. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They have a hidden arch lift that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the shine on mine? Next-level.
Are they worth it?
Yes! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re not cheap, so getting them on sale is worth it. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you find a style that suits you. I chose a loud pair, but a low-key version would also be smart.

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid.
Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
